Adventure-seekers, have we got a do-it-yourself project that you’re going to love! Tyler Thompson loved climbing and adventuring in the wilderness, so he decided to outfit his Toyota with a full size bed and storage capabilities that puts most regular home apartments to shame. Check out the amazing images below as Thompson creates the ultimate truck man-cave.
And the best part is Thompson isn’t even a professional, so this is an idea that anybody can do! But he warns he put in some serious hours to make it all come together, several weeks of 12-hour days. “My background in building is relatively limited,” said Thompson. “I took one quarter of wood shop and a few quarters of welding in high school, but other than that I have just been tinkering and building things all my life. I am going to school for industrial design, and have always had a knack for designing and inventing.” Square Tubing Allows For A Seamless Glide For The Drawers Thompson installed an additional battery with plugs for all his gadgets. Speakers for a little music to (hopefully) scare the bears away. Light installation on the back window. It gets dark out in them woods. Don’t forget to put a nice coat of water protector over the frame to keep it protected. And finally, you’re all done. Time to hit the road!
