Amy Adams ‘Signs on to Gillian Flynn TV Series’
Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallee will helm the project, which has been adapted from Gillian’s 2006 debut novel, The Hollywood Reporter writes. Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer Marti Nixon has already been announced to pen the program and act as show runner. Flynn, who previously worked as an Entertainment Weekly writer and TV critic, will be hoping for similar success with her TV series after her critically-acclaimed novel Gone Girl was brought to the big screen in 2004. The film, starring Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck, was a massive hit and raked in more than $369 million worldwide. Adams, who was due to work with director Vallee on a Janis Joplin project, has a busy few months ahead as she stars as plucky reporter Lois Lane in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice blockbuster, due out in March.
