Anna Kendrick, Salma Hayek, And Gwyneth Paltrow To Be Honored As Women Of Power
“The women we are honoring this year are the perfect embodiment of the Power of Women initiative,” said Variety publisher Michelle Sobrino-Stearns. “We salute Salma Hayek Pinault, Anna Kendrick, Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki for their incredible philanthropic work and their personal commitment to fostering change.” Actress Hayek is being recognized for co-founding women’s rights initiative Chime for Change, Paltrow will be feted for her work with food charity L.A. Kitchen, and Kendrick for her support of youth suicide prevention group The Trevor Project. Winfrey is known for nurturing girls at her South African school, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation, and Wojcicki works with literacy and equal rights group Room to Read.
