Axl Rose Plays Down Guns N’ Roses Reunion Rumors
Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has played down rumors suggesting he is set to reunite with former bandmate Slash to revive the group’s original line-up. It was also reported that Rose would confirm the news in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! next week, but the singer has now taken to social media to apparently dismiss the rumors.
In a tweet posted on New Year’s Day, he wrote, “The only thing I know ‘confirmed’ is my LOVE of (fast food chain) Taco Bell! Mmmmm…. Taco Bell!! Happy New Years!!” Speculation about the potential reunion was stepped up over the holidays when the band’s website was changed to show the classic Guns N’ Roses logo, and clips from a gig were reportedly shown in cinemas ahead of screenings of the new Star Wars movie. The mysterious teaser trailer, which shows the audience during a rendition of “Welcome To The Jungle,” reportedly appeared in theaters across the U.S. over the festive season.
