Axl Rose Uses Dave Grohl’s Throne for Vegas Gigs
Axl Rose borrowed Dave Grohl’s stage throne for Guns N’ Roses’ Las Vegas shows. The singer broke his foot during the rock act’s ‘secret’ show in Los Angeles on April 1, and Rose has been forced to ‘sit’ for the reunited group’s foreseeable concerts, including two upcoming dates at the Coachella festival in California.
On Friday night, he debuted his latest piece of stage gear, on loan from Foo Fighters star Grohl, who had to perform shows while seated last year after breaking his leg. Fans who packed into the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas thought Rose’s big performance chair looked familiar and the truth was revealed towards the end of the G N’ R set when a giant Foo Fighters logo was revealed, and Rose, who was wearing a cast on his foot, said, “That’s a good advertisement.” He added, “I wanna thank Dave Grohl for this; it was very nice of him. I’ve got nothing to do with this.” Rose reportedly slipped onstage while singing “Mr. Brownstone” at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on April 1 and underwent an operation to insert a plate and screws in his foot after fracturing his fifth metatarsal.
