Backyard Deck Is Designed To Lower Right Into The Pool
Lifestyle| | By Jason Owen
Having a pool in your backyard is a modern luxury that isn’t as unattainable as it once was, no longer reserved solely for the denizens of the social elite. Many homes have pools nowadays. But with that luxury comes a price.
Keeping the water clean and debris-free is a chore. Pool covers are a hassle and less than efficient. Of course, having a proper filtration system helps immensely, but the best ones are expensive to install and maintain. Those in the upper echelons of the social fabric can afford the most efficient, less-burdensome covers and cleaning systems that us down here in the 99% cannot.
As possibly the prime example of pool eccentricities, take this wooden deck design from Agor Engineering Enterprises Ltd., that uses a hydraulic system to lower a wooden deck into the pool.
Agor Engineering specializes in “moveable floors” and has constructed them for many private residencies in both Israel and London, but this pool design is simply amazing to see. How cool is this?
Unfortunately, Agor’s installations are not for the humble middle class, with a hefty price tag of nearly half a million dollars per deck. Eh, oh well. The American Dream is alive and thriving, right? We just need a few more years to save up.
