Bryan Cranston Looks Phenomenal As Blacklisted Hollywood Screenwriter In ‘Trumbo’
The film centers around Dalton Trumbo, one of Hollywood’s most revered screenwriters during the Golden Age of cinema, until allegations of communism derailed his career. After he was “blacklisted” from every major movie studio, Trumbo joined forces with the King brothers, who, in the words of Cranston describing the film, made “shlock.” But as it turned out, Trumbo would deliver one of the greatest screenplays ever written that would help change Hollywood forever. With awards season fast approaching, there are a number of familiar names on everyone’s mind – Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies – but based on the trailer, we’re hoping Trumbo enters into the conversation. And check out this behind-the-scenes featurette with Cranston, Helen Mirren, Elle Fanning, Diane Lane, and Louis C.K. Trumbo opens in theaters November 6.
