Chuck Berry’s fans lined up to pay a final tribute to the late music legend at a Missouri club on Sunday.

The owners of The Pageant, a club where Berry often performed, opened their doors for a four-hour public viewing ahead of a private service.

As a hired musician performer Berry’s hits outside, fans filed past the icon’s open casket, which featured his famous cherry-red Gibson ES-335 electric guitar bolted to the inside of its lid.

One of the floral tributes spotted at the viewing was one in the shape of a guitar, sent by Berry fan Keith Richards and his Rolling Stones bandmates.

Berry died last month, aged 90.
