Cosby’s Lawyers Claim ‘Self Defence’ In Defamation Lawsuit

Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz hit Cosby with a lawsuit for defamation, claiming the comic and his legal team had defamed them by calling them liars when they accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them in the 1970s.

Earlier this year, The Cosby Show star and his legal representatives requested to have lawsuit dismissed and on Monday, June 22nd, they claimed some of the comments made are protected by free speech, while the statute of limitations have run out on others, according to the New York Post.

The judge has yet to rule on the motion.

The three women are among a group of over 30 who have accused Cosby of decades-old sexual assault incidents in recent months.
