What This Disney Employee Did for a Fan Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

Disney theme parks are crazy, crazy places and it takes some incredible people to keep things running smooth. One of those incredible people is Emily Gibby, a Disney cast member at the Fantasyland park in Anaheim, Calif., who reunited an autistic child with something precious. Several weeks ago, Gibby found a lanyard abandoned at the park with a handwritten note that read, “Hello! I am autistic and I don’t talk much but I would like to trade for Mickey pins!”
The lanyard already had a few pins attached to it, but Gibby decided to give it an upgrade, filling it with lots of pins and even a Mickey medallion. The pins are collectible items that often have special release events, with people clamoring to get every one. Gibby’s next task, though, would be to find the unknown child and return the lanyard. https://www.instagram.com/p/BDa-hnvg4at/?taken-by=emgibby She wrote in an Instagram post:
“Alright Friends I need your help! Thursday morning during the pin release I was working, we found this red lanyard with four pins on it. It had a white note attached that said “hello I am autistic and I don’t talk much but I would like to trade for Mickey pins.” So we did what any Cast Member would naturally do.. We filled up his lanyard with Mickey pins and got him a Mickey medallion as well! But now we need everyone’s help in finding him/her!! Share this post and help us find our friend! ! Let’s work some magic and try to find our friend!!”Her posts went viral and soon she announced that the owner had been found. https://www.instagram.com/p/BEHYQBXg4eb/?taken-by=emgibby Melissa Britt of Disneyland’s Media/External Communications told APlus that the little girl’s name is Susie, and while her family wasn’t available for an interview, they were able to get some pictures of Susie reunited with her lanyard as well as “some other goodies from the Magic Kingdom.” If that’s not a Disney happy ending, I don’t know what is.
