WATCH: Daring Dog Runs Away From Forever Home to Be With Former Foster Family

Adorable Geoffrey, the dog pictured above, was crushed when his foster family found him a forever home and he had to say goodbye. Though the forever home was wonderful, Geoffrey had formed a special bond with his foster family and he missed them too much to stay. So he decided to run away and find his foster mom.
After leaving the forever home and embarking on his bold journey, the pup got lost. When Geoffrey’s mom heard that the dog was out and about, she went to look for him.
“So I’m out looking for Geoffrey,” she says morosely and desperately in the video below. “I don’t know which way he went. I don’t know where to look.”
At a loss as to where the dog could be, Geoffrey’s family refused to give up the search. They were determined to find their boy no matter how long it took, or how bleak it looked. The situation took a turn for the better when they were informed that a dog was holed up in a nearby warehouse.
Sure enough, it was Geoffrey! Scared in this unfamiliar environment, the dog hid before finally coming out — at the encouragement of his family — and sharing an emotional embrace with his loving mother.
After Geoffrey’s unbelievable expression of love, his mom knew that she had to adopt him. She was no longer his foster mother; she was his mother for good. In his new forever home, Geoffrey is happier than ever.
