Shade comes in all shapes and sizes. As much as we might desire natural shade on those hot summer days, most of the time we do not like what comes with it: leaves, debris, pollen, and hanging bugs.
So, we create it ourselves, and there’s way more than one way to do so. Don’t think you have to resort to the same old, tired awning, or build a screened-in porch.
Here are 10 different ways to create shade outdoors!
Large Vibrant Umbrella
Umbrellas don’t have to be tacky. They can be modern and uplifting like the one seen above. Having the pole not in the center, makes it feel more roomy and contemporary.
A sail shade is perfect for making a patio feel like a living room. It provides cover from the sun and also privacy from nosy neighbors.
There’s no better way to create shade than by hanging a pool towel or a sheet over some chairs and calling it a day. The kids will love it and it’s easy to take down or move around.
