Sure, eating dried fruit is better than eating a bag of chips as a snack, but it isn’t as smart of an alternative as you may think. While it is packed with fiber, the need to keep it preserved means adding a large amount of sulfur and sugar. Additionally, being dried gives it way more calories than if you just ate the fresh fruit. Plus, the fresh fruit would fill you up more.
