James Earl Jones Confirmed as Voice of Darth Vader in ‘Rogue One’

After it was confirmed on Wednesday that Darth Vader would be appearing in this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in an exclusive Entertainment Weekly first look, the magazine is also confirming that James Earl Jones will reprise his role as the voice of the famous Sith Lord. According to Comicbook.com, in an interview with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Kennedy reveals that Jones will be voicing the Jedi nemesis once again. So, Star Wars fans can breathe a long sigh of relief. However, Kennedy also notes that fans shouldn’t expect too much from the villain.
“He will be in the movie sparingly,” Kennedy said in the interview, according to Comicbook.com. “But at a key, strategic moment, he’s going to loom large.” What terror will Vader spread? See it unfold when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16.
