Jennifer Garner Crashes School Dance
Jennifer Garner gave a group of young girls a night to remember when she gatecrashed their elementary school dance.
The actress was filming her new movie The Tribes of Palos Verdes on Friday night at Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier, California, where students from Grazide Elementary School were also attending a mother/daughter dance.
According to TMZ, producers politely asked the attendees to try to lower their volume while they were filming, and as a thank you for their cooperation, Garner unexpectedly stopped by the event to say hello.
In video footage obtained by the website, Garner is seen surrounded by young girls clearly ecstatic with the actress impromptu drop-by, and she can be heard saying, “Do you know that we’re shooting a movie upstairs?,” adding the film is most likely something they wouldn’t be “allowed to see”, since she plays “the worst mother in the world in this movie… It’s really fun.”
Garner, who has three kids of her own with estranged husband Ben Affleck, asked the crowd, “Bet you guys don’t have a bad mom in the whole group, right? Everybody who has a great mom, cheer!”
After their screams died down, Garner graciously said, “Well thank you all for being so patient. I know movies are a hassle to have shooting around you. Thanks for letting us be here and being such great hostesses… So thank you so much for letting us be here. I have to go back to work. I just wanted to say hi.”
In The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Garner plays the unhinged mother of Medina Mason (Maika Monroe) who is facing the aftermath of a failed marriage.
