John Stamos Avoids Jail Time In DUI Case
Actor John Stamos has been handed three years probation in connection to his DUI arrest in June. The former Full House star was arrested in Beverly Hills this summer after police officers received reports about a vehicle being driven erratically. He was subsequently charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs.
On Tuesday, Stamos’ lawyer Blair Berk entered a plea of no contest during an arraignment hearing, and the judge sentenced the actor to informal probation for 36 months. He also has to pay a $390 fine for the misdemeanor DUI charge and attend a DMV class. Stamos, who faced up to six months behind bars if convicted, checked himself into a live-in treatment center following the arrest and subsequently blamed his mother’s recent death for his struggles.
