Lamar Odom May Escape Drug Charges – Report
At the time, the Sheriff in Nye County, Nevada, said there was a strong chance that Odom would be prosecuted for cocaine possession. However, law enforcement sources have now told editors at TMZ.com that the Nye County District Attorney is considering the sports star’s medical condition and mental state before deciding whether to charge him. Odom has improved since his hospitalization, but he is barely able to speak and his cognitive functions are severely impaired. TMZ.com reports the estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian may not even be legally competent to stand trial if he is prosecuted. A representative for Odom has yet to comment on the report.
