Mark Salling Held on $20,000 Bail After Child Pornography Arrest
Former Glee star Mark Salling is behind bars on $20,000 bail following his arrest for possession of child pornography.
Los Angeles Police Department officials from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit raided the 33-year-old actor’s home in Sunland, California on Tuesday morning, when they executed a search warrant.
Sources told CrimeWatchDaily.com cops used a battering ram to gain entry into the home, where they allegedly found “hundreds” of inappropriate images on one of Salling’s personal devices.
He was taken into custody at the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center and booked, while his bail has been set at $20,000.
Tuesday’s arrest was reportedly the result of a tip-off police received two weeks ago.
Representatives for Salling, who played bad boy Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on the hit TV musical series, have yet to respond to requests for a comment.
The actor’s bust comes less than a year after he reached a $2.7 million settlement with Playboy pin-up Roxanne Gorzela, who sued Salling for sexual battery in 2013.
In her lawsuit, Gorzela claimed the star had refused to wear a condom during a consensual sex session in 2011, and when she confronted him days later and expressed concern about contracting a sexually-transmitted disease from him, he allegedly shoved her to the ground, causing bruising on her knees.
Salling denied the accusations, insisting he acted in self-defense after the model attacked him, but the former lovers reached an agreement in March, when the actor confessed to negligently causing his ex to fall and injure herself during the dispute.
