Michael Buble to Launch New Perfume
New dad Michael Buble has joined the ranks of sweet-smelling celebrities after announcing plans to release a signature fragrance. The singer, who welcomed a baby boy on Friday, has another big arrival to look forward to in June, when his new Fragrance Dynamics Ltd. scent hits stores.
The eau de parfum will launch globally in more than 25 countries and Buble can’t wait for fans to catch a whiff. “I’ve always loved fine fragrance and once I committed to this endeavour, I immersed myself in learning the fascinating process of what it takes to actually create just the right scent along with unique packaging that reflects my taste and imagination of the perfect, romantic fragrance,” said Buble. “Working with a world-class perfumer, coupled with the marketing expertise of my team, we have designed a beautiful fragrance that I feel proud to have my name on.” “It’s no secret that I’m a hopeless romantic, which is reflected in the music I write, the songs I sing and the shows I’ve performed around the world,” the singer added. “I wanted to collaborate on creating a fragrance that represents the same sentiments as my music.” Fragrance Dynamics founder Mike Edwards isn’t new to the world of celebrity fragrances, having previously worked on scents for One Direction and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. “With One Direction, that was a 14-year-old girl, with Michael it’s a more mature lady, around 24-50,” he explained. “The branding was much more challenging with this fragrance compared to the One Direction consumer – they buy it because it’s One Direction and they’ve got to have it, but with Michael, the consumer will be discerning based on the quality of the fragrance and packaging.” The Buble fragrance features notes of vanilla, white amber and patchouli, heart notes of rose, peony, wild jasmine and lily of the valley and top notes of bergamot Italy, lemon Italy and red fruits.
