Talk about turning lemons into lemonade!

Brittaney Benesh and her 4-year-old son Ayden love to dress up.

“He loves dressing up,” Benesh told BuzzFeed News. “He’ll dress up as anything.”

Last Tuesday, the 4-year-old jumped into a pile of laundry and cut his head on the side of a bed frame. The little boy was super self-conscious about the gash on his forehead, so much so that he didn’t even want to leave the house.

“I kept asking him if I could see it under the Band-Aid and he kept covering it,” Benesh shared.

Benesh then took advantage of Ayden’s passion for dress up and turned him into Harry Potter. The dress up factor allowed him not to be embarrassed by his cut.

“I asked if he’d like to be Harry Potter,” Benesh said. “And he said ‘Yeah!’”

Benesh dug out a red marker and turned the cut on his forehead into a strike of lighting, just like the famous wizard. Her son seemed pretty happy with the idea and very pleased with the outcome. Benesh even found a pair of round glasses to put on him to complete the look.

“Ayden loved the costume so much he didn’t take it off all day,” said Benesh. “I just wanted to make him happier.”
