Motley Crue Singer Reveals Original Guns N’ Roses Members Reuniting For World Tour
Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx appears to have given away one of the biggest secrets in showbusiness by telling fans the original Guns N’ Roses line-up is reuniting for a world tour.
Nikki replied, “They are. Everybody knows.”
The apparent slip has reignited long-running rumours suggesting Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has made peace with his former bandmates to put together a world tour featuring the original line-up, which included Slash, Steven Adler and Duff McKagan, who rejoined the band for a South American tour last year.
Drummer Adler, who was kicked out of Guns N’ Roses in 1990 following a series of substance abuse issues, recently opened up about potential reunion plans, insisting guitarist Slash would keep it secret from him for as long as possible to stop him accidentally leaking the news.
“I don’t think Slash would tell me (about any reunion plans), because he knows how excited I get and that I would probably say something before I should,” he told rock broadcaster Eddie Trunk. “I would be the last one to know.”
Slash has denied the rumours on numerous occasions in recent months, but over the summer the musician suggested he has reconciled with Rose after a bitter war of words ended their friendship five years ago.
“It was probably way overdue, you know,” he told Sweden’s Aftonbladet TV. “But it’s… you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative… dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
