New Jersey Bride in Search of Wedding Crashers Wants to Buy Them a Drink for ‘Pulling it Off’

Crashing someone’s wedding doesn’t only happen in the movies as we’ve seen in Wedding Crashers starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
In fact, life can be stranger than fiction, as a pair of real wedding crashers attended the wedding of Karen Fox and Michael Tufo, Jr. on August 6 and actually pulled it off. The bride was so impressed with their ability to join her party undetected that she is now in search of the crashers to buy them a drink for going unnoticed on her special day. They weren’t completely incognito as they left behind a wedding gift, a dollar bill for good luck, and a sweet note that read that they wrote next to a single dollar bill taped inside. “Dear Fox’s, 1) Congratulations! 2) Sorry for crashing your wedding 3) Best of luck!!” The newly married Fox Tufo took to Facebook the next day with this message, “I’d like to thank everyone who shared our special day with us… especially these 2! Well played my friends… well played!!! I need to meet these people and buy them a drink. Professional job! You gave us the best wedding present anyone could ever ask for!” The bold wedding crashers also included a fuzzy Polaroid photo of themselves with their gift, wearing the same outfits they wore to Fox Tufo’s wedding. Her friend had some advice as to how to track them down using the photo. She wrote on Facebook, “Try a Google image search of their faces. Maybe you will find their Facebook or other social media pages. I learned that from watching “Catfish.”” The couple managed to blend into the party, drinking and dancing the night away, at the Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, New Jersey. Fox Tufo’s friends didn’t pay them any extra attention, as they thought her new husband had invited them. Aimee Boardman, who was the maid of honor and Fox’s best friend since kindergarten, happened to notice the unidentified man and his date but chalked it up to being someone from the groom’s side. “The bride also told me the next morning that she believed she might have had wedding crashers. She said she had noticed the couple, assuming the male was her husband’s friend that she hadn’t met. He didn’t seem to fit in, but I didn’t follow up during the reception. They did not try to go unnoticed at the wedding, they asked for an extra seat at the table they sat at, they ate dinner, drank, danced (even convincing people at their table to dance and even danced with the bride’s nieces). Unbelievable,!” Boardman told Parsippany Patch. Even her own relative wasn’t suspicious. “I saw them but just thought it was one of Mike’s or your friend who replied they couldn’t come but then could!,” Pamela Fox wrote on Facebook. Your Daily Dish reached out to Fox Tufo for a comment but the happy couple are well on the way to their honeymoon. The sleuthing will just have to wait.
