Oprah Celebrates With First Graduates From School for Girls
Oprah Winfrey is celebrating after attending the first graduation ceremonies for students from her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
The media mogul spent much of the weekend attending commencement events for the first group of college graduates. On Sunday, Oprah posted a series of photos from the celebrations on Instagram, immediately after Tabitha Ramotwala graduated from Mount Holyoke in Massachusetts.
Noluthando Dlomo and Nompumelelo Nobiva also graduated the same morning from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Oprah wrote: “Congratulations to my beautiful and brilliant ‘daughter-girls,'” before adding her tour is not yet over, stating: “Now onto Spelman!”
The former talk show queen also received an honorary doctorate from JCSU and was the school’s commencement speaker on Sunday morning.
