People’s Choice Stage-Crasher Arrested and Charged
The unwelcome crasher Sharon Osbourne kicked off the stage at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday has been arrested and charged for his antics.
The rock matriarch was onstage at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater collecting the prize for Favorite Daytime Hosting Team with her The Talk co-hosts, Julie Chen, Sheryl Underwood, Aisha Tyler and Sara Gilbert, when a young man jumped up and grabbed the microphone stand away from actress Gilbert, interrupting her acceptance speech.
He was able to give a “shout out” to rapper Kevin Gates, and yell, “Yeezy jumped over the Jumpman” – a line from Kanye West’s new song “Facts” – before Osbourne kicked at his feet as security guards rushed to escort him from the event.
The stage invader has since been identified as Zicario Nicasio, who was arrested by private security officials and handed over to police. He was subsequently charged with a misdemeanor for interfering with a live event and is due in court to answer the count on January 27, according to E! News.
