Playboy Mansion Up for Sale with $200 Million Price Tag – Report
The infamous Playboy Mansion, owned by Hugh Hefner, will be put up for sale within the next month, according to a report. The six-acre Holmby Hills estate in Los Angeles was built in 1927 and has been the location of some of the wildest Playboy parties ever thrown.
Editors at TMZ report the mansion will be listed for sale within the next month, and Playboy Enterprises – the estate’s owner – is looking to get around $200 million for the property. Real estate sources have told TMZ that the mansion will probably sell for around $80 – $90 million (£50 – £56 million), but the building will most likely be torn down as the value is in the six acres of land the mansion stands on. However, there are reportedly some strings attached to the sale of the mansion. One is that whoever buys the property is required to give Hugh Hefner a life estate, meaning he can continue to live there with wife Crystal Harris until he dies. Prospective buyers can view the property once it goes up for sale, but TMZ editors report that Hefner’s bedroom is strictly off limits during the house tour.
