Quentin Tarantino Offers Fans Chance To Win Special Vinyl Score
Quentin Tarantino is giving fans the opportunity to pick up a very special Christmas gift when they pre-order the soundtrack of his new Western The Hateful Eight. The director and members of his cast were present at London’s fabled Abbey Road Studios on Wednesday when composer Ennio Morricone conducted the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in a live recording of his score and cut it to vinyl.
Fans who pre-order the album will now get the chance to receive one of the hand-stamped, direct-to-vinyl limited editions. Morricone, Tarantino and actors Kurt Russell and Walton Goggins made their trip to The Beatles’ former recording home extra special by signing the wall outside the studios. The recording session took place just hours before Morricone’s score for The Hateful Eight was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Original Score category. The maestro previously recorded tracks for Tarantino’s Django Unchained, but The Hateful Eight marks the first time he has completed the full score for one of the director’s films.
