Soon after, her best friend Amber Rose congratulated the couple on its engagement, while White’s mom Tokyo Toni, who had met the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star for the first time days ago, also gushed about the impending wedding on Instagram. And while Kardashian’s famous siblings have yet to comment on the betrothal, Tyga, who shares a three-year-old son called King with White, has opened up on his ex’s new relationship status and he slammed critics for directing the attention on their son rather than the engagement news. Tyga tweeted: Tyga and White dated for three years before splitting in 2014. White and Kardashian’s romance has been controversial ever since they began dating in January. White was previously close friends with Kim Kardashian, while Tyga is currently dating Kardashian’s youngest half-sister Kylie Jenner. In addition, White’s best friend Rose enjoyed a romance with Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West for two years until their break-up in 2010. West and Kardashian wed in 2014. As the engagement news broke, Tyga reportedly jetted off to Vail, Colorado to join the rest of the Kardashian clan for a family getaway, according to TMZ. As for White, her representative tells Us Weekly she is planning to legally change her name to become Angela Kardashian. “She was very excited and loves the ring. She’s happy with him and very happy,” her rep tells the publication.
