Sometimes music is all you need, just ask Will Hunt.

The 16-year-old is currently in the hospital due to heart failure and is waiting to have surgery. Hunt suffers from a condition called cardiomyopathy and is hoping his two surgeries, including a heart transplant, will help him move on with his life.

However, Hunt isn’t letting the stress of the surgeries get to him and is using music to help him cope. While in the ICU, Hunt delivered a rousing performance of “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5. Hunt’s father joined in on the guitar and his brother, Mac, recorded it. Check it out below.

The moving performance was quick to go viral after being posted to Twitter and has already been retweeted over 4,000 times (as of time of press).

Hunt, who is in the men’s choir at his school, spends most of his free time singing.

“Whatever condition he was in I knew that was one thing he would do, is sing,” his friend Cameron Stewart told WRCB-TV.

The teenager has a long road ahead of him, but is keeping a very positive attitude.

“He’s in good spirits, not sad. Always happy and laughing,” Wyatt McVay, his cousin, shared.

See the full performance below.
