If you don’t want to cry, turn back now, because this is one beautiful moment.
Unable to walk, a mother with multiple sclerosis (MS) still got the traditional occasion with her son that every mom dreams about: dancing with their child on their wedding day.
Stephen Winn from Dayton, OH, refused to let his mom, Amy, miss out on the mother-son dance at his wedding, regardless of her being confined to a wheelchair.
To the tune of “Steady Heart” by Amanda Cook and Steffany Frizzel-Gretzinger, he picked his mother up and the two danced in place, embracing each other, swaying back and forth in a heartwarming, unique time that may have rivaled that of the actual ceremony.
The special dance was captured on video and posted by the bride, Cassie.
The video has gone viral and fortunately helped out Ms. Winn with raising money for her stem cell therapy treatment through her fundraiser on YouCaring created by the family.
She was diagnosed at the age of 31 and will be seeking treatment in Los Angeles, CA. The goal of $23,000 is well on its way with around $5,000 already raised as of press time.
