Some good samaritans just can’t stand idly by while there are hungry people on the streets of their community.
Darius “Chedda Pack” Winston from Chicago, IL was walking his son to school when he noticed a “young brotha” in an alley reading, who appeared hungry and homeless. Winston proceeded to grab a home-cooked meal and bring it to him, capturing the act on video.
The young man looked sincere, didn’t seem to be on drugs according to Winston and apparently hadn’t eaten in a week.
“I ain’t got all the money in the world but I could make sure motherf**kers get a nice little plate and s**t, you feel?” said Winston in the video, walking towards the alley where the young man sat. “It’s only right.”
Winston, with the plate in his hands, approaches the young man who is sitting reading a book, his belongings on the ground.
“Food, man?” Winston asked.
The young man, looking surprised yet relieved, responds, “Are you serious? Oh man, thank you so much,” and fist-bumps Winston. “God bless you.”
Winston advises, “You keep reading and s**t, man,” handing him a can of ginger ale. “Something’s gonna come your way. You stay focused.”
With a recent stir of mistreatment of black men circulating the nation once again, this act of kindness of a black man aiding another black man is surely a breath of fresh air.
