‘The Wonder Years’ Star Jason Hervey Arrested for DUI
The Wonder Years star Jason Hervey was reportedly arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). The former teen idol was arrested by police officers earlier this year after they received a call about him driving his pickup truck erratically.
According to editors at TMZ, police officers say they found Hervey, who played unlucky in love Wayne Arnold in the family sitcom, “slurring, red-eyed and confused,” behind the wheel of the vehicle. The actor then reportedly failed a sobriety test. A loaded handgun was also found by officers who searched his truck. As a result the star was arrested for DUI and carrying a weapon while under the influence. Although the incident occurred in January it was only revealed last weekend, when Hervey spent 48 hours in jail. According to the gossip site, Hervey claims he took Ambien before driving his vehicle with the aim of completing an errand. He reportedly thanked the police officers for taking him off the road before an accident occurred. After appearing in the TV comedy, which ran from 1988 to 1993, Hervey wound down his acting career to become a TV producer and public relations agent.
