A centenarian is finally getting his wish with the ride of a lifetime.
Ray Weser, who will be 102 this December, got a very special ride in Prescott Valley, Arizona thanks to his friends at Harley Davidson. With Weser’s old age, he is not able to own a motorcycle anymore and understands he won’t be around much longer to ride them. Luckily, his community was able to help his final wish come true and gave the man “One Last Ride.”
Weser has been a fan of Harley Davidson his entire life. The former veteran, who worked for the company for 24 years, fell in love with motorcycles when he was a teenager.
“Harley dripping oil, smoke coming out of everywhere and I fell in love with motorcycles right there,” Weser shared.
Last Sunday, members of the VFW and the Grand Canyon Harley Davidson dealership came out to give Weser a special treat with “One Last Ride.”
“It was just natural for us to come out and put him on a back of a new Tri Glide and take him for a ride,” the general manager of the Grand Canyon Harley-Davidson dealership, Logan Roberts, explained.
About 50 different bikers joined Weser for his final ride on his custom made Harley.
With the completion of this ride, Weser’s life has really gone full circle.
“He’s a life-long Harley person that really just lives in that moment and so this is an amazing thing,” Weser’s granddaughter, Jennifer Miller, said. “This is an amazing thing. I’m pretty sure he thinks he’s died and gone to heaven already.”
