102-Year-Old Woman Arrested Voluntarily to Fill Her Bucket List

This old woman is just too sweet to get arrested non-voluntarily.

Edie Simms is 102-years-old, prides herself in her community service, and opted to get thrown (gently) in the back of a cop car to fulfill one of her lifelong wishes.

Never in her life has Simms been arrested by the police until last Friday in front of Five Star Senior Center in St. Louis, MO.

“Handcuffs and all,” confirmed Simms to local network KTVI, seeming thrilled to have knocked this off her bucket list.

When not in custody of the police on the way to the slammer, Simms dedicates much of her time to sewing handmade clothing and crafts for her friends at the senior center.

“We’re more than happy to do these type of things,” Sgt. John McLaughlin said. “We love it and we get more out of it than the seniors do.”

Apparently many seniors enjoy getting fake-arrested for those sweet bragging rights.

“Keep going, don’t ever stop, whatever it is your doing,” advised Simms. “And spend some time doing community service.”

Simms just celebrated her 102nd birthday on September 25 and appears well enough to reach 103 in stride.
