Adrian Grenier’s 9/11 Post Draws Much Criticism, Some Praise
Entourage star Adrian Grenier is under fire after posting what some believe was an insensitive photo marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
On Friday, Grenier, a New York City native who spent much of his life growing in the city, posted the above photo to his Instagram account, commemorating the innocent Americans who were killed that day…but also the millions of innocent Iraqi civilians subsequently killed in the war that would follow.
After the image was posted, users quickly jumped on the image and the actor claiming, “Today was not the day to post this,” and “Classless. You have no idea how families feel everyday on this day and everyday period.”
Grenier later removed the post, but the fallout was far from over.

The young actor would later put up several more, “less controversial” images on Instagram and many followers defended him and regretted that he removed the original image.

It’s a startling disconnect that so many would bemoan Grenier for his sympathy toward the innocent lives taken, ostensibly forgetting that of the nineteen hijackers on four planes on 9/11, ZERO were from Iraq. But whatever, all lives matter, right?
