Have you ever needed an air freshener for your home, but wanted to try something other than typical store-bought scents and devices? If so, these simple-to-make, all-natural air freshener recipes might be just what you’re looking for.
To begin, fill a medium-sized saucepan with a quart of water and whatever natural ingredients you’d prefer, then simply let it simmer. The evaporating water freshens and cleans the air, leaving behind whatever scent you prefer.
Some potential recipes for saucepan air fresheners include:
– One sliced lemon, two tablespoons of rosemary, and a dash of vanilla;
– One sliced lime and one piece of chopped ginger root; or
– One sliced orange, one teaspoon of cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg and cloves.
If the stovetop method isn’t for you — because you don’t have access to a stove, feel uncomfortable leaving a flame open for that long, or simply have a layout that has the area you wish to freshen too far from the kitchen — then we have another natural air freshener trick that’s better suited for you. All you’ll need is baking soda, an essential oil of your choosing, a mason jar, and a rubber band.
Be sure to SHARE these all-natural DIY air freshener tricks, and let us know if they worked for you.
