These Photos From ‘Little Kids and Their Big Dog’ Are Off the Cuteness Scale
Dogs have always been man’s best friend and that includes their children as well. All the way from St. Petersburg, Russia comes a photography book, Little Kids And Their Big Dogs, which features gigantic breeds mugging for the camera or holding court with their adorable pint-sized owners.
Photographer Andy Seliverstoff captured massive pups such as great danes, Irish wolfhounds, and the exotic komondor (the breed that looks like it has dreadlocks) – to name a few – at play, or lovingly towering over their tiny masters.
Seliverstoff spent four months taking thousands of pictures in St. Petersburg before compiling a book from the best images. His particular fondness for dogs inspired this 132-page collection, which focuses on the unbreakable bond between little children and their super-sized dogs.
“I always take plenty of time with the dog who’s in front of my camera so I get to know the personality of my dog model the best I can,” Seliverstoff says on his website. “The personality and the character is unique for every individual dog. The human aspects we often recognize in our dogs are, among other things, what makes us feel so close to them. And it is this aspect I try to express in my photography.”
Seliverstoff photographed his canine subjects and their little charges frolicking at the park, the beach and in the snow.
Some photos show the big dogs trotting alongside their tiny tots carrying objects – sometimes even the children themselves.
Little Kids And Their Big Dogs is published by Revodana Publishing, which was founded in 2014 by former Newsday columnist Denise Flaime.
