Best Job Ever? Man Travels the World and Takes Selfies With Animals for a Living

Right about now you’re probably asking yourself “Where do I apply?” after reading that title.
Well, in order to achieve “Best Job Ever” status, Allan Dixon first had to beat out almost half a million other participants in the “Best Job In The World” campaign, created by Tourism Australia. The campaign served as a competition whose winners would obtain one of six amazing jobs. Dixon, a photographer based in New Zealand, was one of those winners, and his reward was to officially call himself a professional “Adventure Content Marketer.” Job duties include: traveling the world, bringing awareness to different animals via taking selfies with them.
Yes, you heard that correctly. Imagine, if you will, the end of your nine-to-five, and instead, you get to photograph the funny faces you make with that goat…or lemur…or quokka next door. This is Dixon’s gig, and his 317,000 followers on Instagram are loving it.
