Bill Cosby To Be Deposed By Janice Dickinson’s Lawyer
Bill Cosby is to be deposed by former supermodel Janice Dickinson’s attorney after denying he raped her.
Lisa Bloom has confirmed she will depose the embattled comedian on November 23, four days after she’s scheduled to depose Cosby’s former attorney, Martin Singer.
But a judge has ruled Bloom will have to limit her questions to evidence showing the denial of the lawsuit’s main allegation – that Cosby raped the model in 1982 – was made maliciously, according to the Los Angeles Times.
That means Dickinson’s lawyer will not be able to quiz Cosby about any of the other 50 allegations he sexual assaulted or abused other women.
The judge also rejected efforts by Cosby’s new lawyers to dismiss the case.
Bloom’s mother, attorney Gloria Allred, deposed Cosby, 78, in a lawsuit by Judy Huth last month. She alleged she was sexually assaulted by the comedian at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15.
Dickinson sued Cosby in May after Singer issued a statement denying her allegation that the comedian raped her in 1982 calling it a “lie.” The model insisted the denial amounted to defamation.
