Bill Gates Was A Lucky Redditor’s Secret Santa This Year

What’s better, getting a puppy for Christmas or getting a billionaire as your Secret Santa?

Bill Gates, the Microsoft man himself, was Reddit user Aerrix’s Secret Santa for this holiday season’s Reddit Gifts Exchange — and the presents were spot on.

“He’s just another person that does the same things we do, but was able to use his giant brain power to bring people things they didn’t even know they needed, but now couldn’t live without,” Aerrix wrote on Reddit.

On Friday, a sizable package arrived at Aerrix’s home. Inside the package was a photo of Gates in a Santa hat, a season’s greetings and about 10 packages all handpicked by Mr. Gates.

She got some DVDs, mittens for her and her dog featuring The Legend of Zelda, an Xbox One with a couple of games, a book of recipes, and more gifts she genuinely wanted and were thrilled by.

Although Aerrix didn’t have Gates in return as her Secret Santa, as expected, when asked what would she get him, she responded, “I would look at his exchange preferences and make something personal as opposed to big and flashy. You DON’T get something for the man that has everything, you make something!”

It would appear poor – yet rich – Bill Gates got someone an incredible gift this year and will probably get a macaroni sculpture or sock puppet in return.
