Boy Sees Classmate’s Soles Falling Off His Shoes and Decided He Needed to Do Something About It

One mother is certainly proud of her son after his gesture of kindness surprised even her.

According to a viral post on Facebook from Erin Fedele, her son Jaymes came home from school one day asking if he could give away his “Lebron 13s,” presumably the LeBron James basketball sneakers released under Nike. Fedele, confused as to why her son would want to give away a pair of his shoes, explained:

“Today, Jaymes asked me if he could give a pair of his LeBron 13s to a friend at school because his friends soles were falling off. He said ‘why should I have all these nice shoes and my friend has to glue the bottoms on his?'”

It’s a great thing to see that this young man understands that some of his peers may not be as fortunate as he is and his ability to empathize at such a young age. It certainly seems like he has one bright future ahead of him and it’s clear Jaymes’ parents have raised a kind, caring child.

“I’m beyond proud of the heart this kid has,” Jaymes’ mother concluded.
