Britax Recalls Certain B-Safe 35 Car Seat Models
Britax, a leader in child safety technology for more than 70 years, has recalled several models of their popular B-Safe infant seat. The company, along with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Health Canada, and Transport Canada, announced the recall Thursday morning.
The recall affects certain B-Safe 35 and B-Safe 35 Elite infant car seat models manufactured between October 1, 2014 and July 1, 2015. Consumers can check the DOM label located at the back of the infant car seat shell. They can then match up the DOM to the list provided on Britax’s website. Important to note is that this recall only affects the carry handle of the infant car seat and not its performance. The car seat is still safe to use in the car.
