Orphaned Piglet Comes to the Rescue to Comfort Kitten During Seizures

Meet Batman and Sriracha, an unlikely duo showing the true meaning of love and support.

Sriracha is an adorable kitten that suffers from a neurological disorder called cerebellar hypoplasia. The condition makes it difficult for the tiny cat to walk and keep her balance. On top of those symptoms, Sriracha suffers from frequent seizures.

Luckily for Sriracha, she met Batman, a 2-week-old rescue piglet. Batman recognizes when Sriracha is having seizures and knows when the kitten needs a little extra care. Batman has quickly become a major source of support for the special needs kitten.

Sriracha is our special needs foster kitten. She has a neurological disorder called CH. Feline cerebellar hypoplasia is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems. Sriracha has also experienced seizures due to her condition. The last two days have been HORRIBLE. She has had two seizures. Usually when this happens, she becomes slightly "off" for a few days. Batman is our rescued orphan piglet. He is less than two weeks old now. He has been extra attached to Sriracha today. I swear he knows she has had a bad couple of days and feels the need to comfort her. This is why I do what I do. This is why my entire life is dedicated to the animals. They are the most beautiful things on this planet.

Batman and Sriracha are currently living at the Rancho Relaxo, an animal rescue center in New Jersey.

The little piglet seems to have a sixth sense and can feel when Sriracha is having a bad day.

“He has been extra attached to Sriracha today,” Caitlin Cimini, rescue founder, wrote on Instagram. “I swear he knows she has had a bad couple of days and feels the need to comfort her.”

Sriracha is so lucky to have a companion like Batman by her side!
