Catios Are the Latest Way Cat Owners Are Giving Into Their Feline Overlords

Cats are well known for taking over their human abodes. They often treat furniture, appliances and almost anything else in the home as their own personal playground. Now, thanks to catios, the feline powers base is expanding outside the house.
Catio spaces are defined as, “a cat enclosure or cat patio” that provides feline safety and enrichment outdoors. Whether you have an indoor or outdoor cat, a catio can be the purrfect solution while you enjoy peace of mind knowing your cat is always safe. There are many benefits of catios, including protecting birds and wildlife.
The structures range from small window boxes and fences built in the DIY style to larger, prefabricated structures that could be a cat’s home in their own right. In addition, they’re decorated to cater to the cats — or their owner’s — personal preferences.
