Ciara Criticized for Dress Choice at College Football Playoff Championship
R&B star Ciara has been criticized for wearing a revealing gown to sing during the college football tournament on Monday night.
The “Goodies” singer performed a rendition of the national anthem before the College Football Playoff championship game at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona while wearing a plunging sparkly dress which exposed her cleavage.
Many viewers took to Twitter to label her outfit inappropriate in the family-friendly setting, including ESPN reporter Bonnie Bernstein who tweeted, “Dear Ciara. You’re stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.”
Her American footballer boyfriend Russell Wilson came to her defense by praising her appearance, writing, “I see you baby!! Sounded amazing & looked flawless in every way! @Ciara,” and she replied, “Awe…Thank You Baby [sic]!”
