Many gardeners use plant tags to help identify their plants. They are popular with beginner gardeners who need them in order to tell their plants apart, but seasoned gardeners like them just for decoration.
But let’s face it: No one likes those little plastic plant tags that come with the plants. They’re not all that pretty or functional. Solution?
Make your own!
Here, we have clay plant markers made from rubber stamps and, obviously, clay. Even if you don’t have a garden or use for plant tags, this is an easy-to-make gift idea for your gardening friend.
There are a lot of ways to make DIY plant markers, but making these clay ones will have you feeling like a master sculptor.
What you need, according to Garden Therapy, is:
- Air Dry Clay
- Dental Floss
- Rolling Pin
- Knife
- Putty Knife
- Sponge
- Rubber Stamps like these in herb names, letters, or quotes
- Ceramic Spray Sealer (Matte)
