Funny or Die has produced yet another episode of “Between Two Ferns,” hosted by Zach Galifianakis, this time with presidential candidate Hillary Clinton whom Galifianakis thinks looks like a librarian from outer space.
Episode 20, which was published this morning and has over 180,000 views (as of press time), features an interview (as always) between “Hilary (sic) Clinton” titled as “Had Pneumonia” and the comedian with questions such as “Are you excited to be the first girl president?” and “When he’s [Donald Trump] elected…are you gonna move to Canada?”
“Where’s Zach?” pondered Clinton at the start of the episode, as a man in a suit and skeleton-like mask snuck up behind her briefly before getting thrown to the floor by two large men, also in suits – whom were Secret Service.
“I was just trying to scare her,” said Galifianakis, red-faced and defensive, apparently just trying to get in the spirit of Halloween.
The interview went just as expected; almost cringe-worthy, slightly informative, and absolutely Hillarious.
“For a younger, younger generation, you will become their first white president and that’s pretty neat,” Galifianakis brought up in addition to Clinton (obviously) being the first female president if elected.
Clinton did not respond to this nor other satirical comments made by Galifianakis, sitting quietly, staring him down and often shaking her head most the interview.
“How does President Obama like his coffee?” asked Zach “Like himself? Weak?”
“What happens if you get pregnant? Are we gonna be stuck with Tim Kaine for 9 months?”
The interview, which was blatantly for laughs, did confirm that Clinton is “not down” with Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership though.
And Trump was expectedly mentioned, because it wouldn’t have been complete without him, and in fact he was a big part of the bit.
“When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you ever think to yourself, ‘Oh, maybe I should be more racist?’ ” questioned Galifianakis.
The former First Lady shook her head, smiling.
She did add later on that if Trump was elected she would not leave the U.S., but rather remain and try to prevent him from “destroying” the country.
And she would not lead the civil war, nor take up arms.
“Oh right, because you were saying before we were rolling that you wanted to take away everyone’s guns,” snarked Galifianakis. “Very cool.”
More Trump jokes filled the episode too, such as talking about what Trump would wear to the debate, referring to his often-worn red “power” tie.
“Or maybe [he’ll wear] like a white power tie,” said Galifianakis.
“That’s even more appropriate,” pointed out Clinton.
Before the interview could come to a close, it was interrupted by a word from the show’s sponsor – Trump – airing a “Make America Great Again” commercial, which Clinton was not pleased with.
As the episode came to end, however, Galifianakis wanted to stay in touch with the potential president.
“What’s the best way to reach you?” asked Galifianakis. “Email?”
Clinton was not amused.
Galifianakis pressed the red button on the table, sounding off, “You got mail!”
Clinton was still not amused.
Watch the episode, where Galifianakis killed it and Clinton was arguably far less entertaining than Obama’s appearance two years ago.
