Just in time for the summer grilling season comes a new innovation that’s kicking your grilling game into the 21st century.
The new GoSun Grill is a solar-powered, compact griller, whose creation was funded through a Kickstarter campaign. At only eight pounds, it’s portable so you can grill food anywhere from your own backyard to the beach or the park. This amazing fuel-free grill can even cook on cloudy days. Better yet, you don’t have to deal with the hassle of charcoal or flames, and you don’t need to monitor your grilling process and miss out on any summer festivities.
The grill works by using a special organic wax that melts in the sun, and then transfers its heat through two layers of metal. This keeps the temperature consistent. The battery charges in the sun, and once charged, the grill works at night or on cloudy days.
The GoSun Sport option, available on Amazon for $279, includes a vacuum tube that serves as the oven and two parabolic reflectors that fold out to aid the cooking process. The company claims that it takes only 20 minutes to cook your food, and that you can bake, boil, steam or fry your food on top of classic grilling.
With a 4.5 star review on Amazon, it looks like this product really works. One reviewer even bakes cakes, cookies, and makes stews, rice and soup with their GoSun Sport.
It seems like this environmentally-safe grill has the (solar) power to make your summer even more delicious and carefree. Watch this video by “Rockets Are Cool” to see the GoSun in action:
