Does Donald Trump know the difference between 9/11 and 7-Eleven? Apparently not.

The Republican presidential frontrunner was giving a speech during a rally in Buffalo, New York on Monday and while discussing the World Trade Center attacks, Trump mistakenly named the popular convenience store, 7-Eleven, in place of 9/11.

“I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen, down on 7-Eleven, down at the World Trade Center, right after it came down,” Trump said. “And I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action.”

Trump never corrected his mistake. The mix-up has caused a flurry of ridicule on social media.

Although the GOP frontrunner, Trump’s campaign has been embroiled in controversy. Former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was charged with battery after forcefully grabbing former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields during a rally in March. Last week, Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg announced that charges against Lewandowski have been dropped.

According to reports, Trump’s national field director, Stuart Jolly, resigned the position on Monday.
