Elderly Woman Comforts Aggressive Transit Rider With Touching Gesture
Most people who take the bus or the train just ignore everything around them, especially when a passenger might be acting weird or even violent. In most cases, it’s best to keep a safe distance, which is what people did when a six-foot-five man started acting out on a bus in Canada.
However, one woman from Vancouver thought a different approach would help. Instead of backing away and trying to ignore the strange man, she reached out her hand.
Passenger Ehab Taha caught the stunning moment when the elderly woman decided to hold the strange man’s hand, thus calming him down and relieving other passengers.
The photo has since gone viral with nearly 30,000 shares on Facebook.
Although it’s hard to imagine something like this happening in a place like New York City, the gesture shows that with a little compassion, anybody can help someone in need.
