The pair teamed up on Friday night (July 10th) to sing Elton’s 1976 hit Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, which he originally duetted on with Kiki Dee, and Sheeran’s Afire Love, to the 80,000-strong crowd.

The Rocket Man owns the management company that The A Team hit-maker is linked to, and the duo has performed together before, most notably at the Grammy Awards in 2013.

Sir Elton’s husband David Furnish posted a photograph of Friday’s surprise duet on Instagram.com, adding “Well, that was a moment. Elton joins Ed Sheeran on stage at Wembley. Pure magic.”
